FAQ
What is The Rescue Project?
The Rescue Project is dedicated to creating a new life for orphaned children of war. We work through local house churches to rescue orphaned and trafficked children, provide healing and care by placing them in Jesus-honoring families, and equip them as leaders to change their world. How does it work?
In partnership with underground house church movements, our teams have
rescued thousands of boys and girls from the conflicts in Iraq and Syria.
We are also rescuing orphans in Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, Yemen, Pakistan
and Saudi Arabia.
The Rescue Project provides food, water, medical care, trauma counseling,
protection and other relief aid, while also sharing the peace and love of Jesus
Christ. We save boys from Islamic radicalization, protect girls from sex
trafficking, and free young child brides from the abuse of their terrorist
captors.
Our goal is to impact an entire generation of Middle Eastern children whom the
enemy intended to harm—but whom God will redeem for His glory (Genesis
50:20). Thousands of boys and girls urgently need our financial and prayer
support. A tax-deductible gift of just $36 can help rescue, protect, and care for
an orphan or child of war for one month. What is the mission?
Empowering orphaned and trafficked children to impact their world in Jesus’
name.Is The Rescue Project a non-profit organization?
Yes.
How are the countries chosen?
The Rescue Project is a house church field-driven initiative that responds to the critical needs of
orphans of war.Do children need to become Christians in order to receive continued help?
Each orphaned child of war is rescued by professionally trained and Spirit-filled counselors who provide initial security and gently lead them toward emotional, physical, and spiritual healing. Of course, no one is forced to become Jesus follower, but The Rescue Project provides healing and restoration that almost always leads to a personal encounter with the Savior.
What specific benefits does the child receive?
The children we serve are rescued from radical Islam and first undergo both medical and psychological care while in the loving nurture and protection of a family. Most importantly, they are introduced to Jesus as their Savior and Healer. They receive age-appropriate Bible-based education and learn to share their faith with others. They also receive specialized training for integrating back into society, education, life skills, social skills, and eventually a trade that enables them to give back to society.
Can I write to or visit my sponsored child?
